Best Practices for Sucessful Online Dating over the holidays.

3. Google your dates Name see what you find?
4. Have Questions from your search and the profile page on line ready for when you meet your. (Work subttle into the conversation and see what you find out)
5. Then make a MENTAL NOTE of what he or she says ... go back and google it and see if it matches. If it doesn't you have Question #2

6. Be VERY SUBTLE don't say well I Googled you.
7. The Point is... do that enough times until you are absolutely sure you know where a person works and address of where they live. You have two points of contact to establish they live where they say and they do what they say for a living.
8. Take it SLOW.
9. Take it VERY SLOW until you have ALL of the information of where they live, with whom before YOU ever go there. You know if they are in school full time or what they do for a living. Then meet them out again... tell them either you and a friend will be at this place, where does he and his or her friends go... ? All you want is to get to know their friends. Do they have any? What are they like outside of academic life or work?
Remember ANYONE can stand in front of an OIL WELL get their picture taken. It does not mean they own the oil well or nothing you see in a picture means anything. Anyone can have their picture taken anywhere and say they work anywhere and they are doing anything.
They may be a nice person not a criminal but maybe a liar or only after a something you have they want access to. It might be sex, it may be a job if they are social networking. Online dating is NO different than online ANYTHING. You don't know what the person is like or what their objective is in getting information from you. That being said...Don't give out any information you would not post on the internet for the world to see just because they are good looking or they bought you lunch or dinner.
